'Twas brillig and the slithy toves...

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe.

All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I LOVE LEWIS CARROLL.  Just sayin'.

I know, I know... I haven't made a real post.... ummm.... ever?  That's because for me to write seriously I have to feel serious.  And I do now, but I can't write about it because I would "say" things that would get me in trouble later maybe.  So we'll stick with my normal mode of operation and I'll tell in all honesty that I want to go to the zoo.  I want to go to the zoo like a child wants to go to "just one more house" on Halloween.

One day I'll grow up, maybe.  I just hope I won't be a dick about it.

Random LOLZ.

GooooooOOOOOOooooood Morning!  The ONLY reason I say that, on a day where I am up before noon and don't have to work, is BECAUSE I am going to Coffee-fest later today and even the thought of the possobility of the amount of caffine that COULD be running through my veins got me up a bit earlier.  That, and the $35 parking ticket because my alarm didn't go off and I parked overnight near a meter in Seattle.  LIVE AND LEARN, and FUCK THE POLICE.

Not really, I usually enjoy police-types.  They buy lots of coffee.

ANYWAY, I post this because it's been a while since I've posted (because nothing new is happening) and wanted to kick-start my writing.  I plan on making a most amazing post about this weekend soon, complete with pictures and such.  I just need to go take them.  SO READ THIS IN THE MEANTIME OK?!?

It's from Myspace... I'm feeling un-original.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello! I'm Nils! I tend to get overly excited about little things (like this about me section blurby majiger) and less so about huge gigantic things. (Blue Whales) I make coffee, a lot of coffee, fairly often and I drink almost as much so I'm usually fairly entertaining. Well, ok. I can entertain MYSELF pretty well and the rest of you can just GTFO! Or not, be my friend! Yay friends! I enjoy people, and new people, who are like regular people, I just don't know them yet. Oo oo oo! We can be music friends! I play the piano, and you can do something else and we'll be in a band and go on tours and take pictures and sleep in crappy motels and on couches and it will be good stories! Hooray, I'm so excited!

I read this anytime I am feeling too serious or too much like an adult (currently hardly ever) because it is the kind of thing I can laugh at myself about, it is also a fairly good representation of the things I am capable of, but not the good kind of capable like being able to run an office or tie knots really fast. Read on...

For your enjoyment, Nils will now make a complete fool of himself:
So at work today (this would be playing for the choir at church) I happened to fall asleep. This in and of it's self is not a horrible thing. The bad thing is that this particular snooze happened to be at the piano itself in the middle of rehearsal. Of course, the first thing that happens when one falls into a real sleep is to reach a state of relaxation, in my case this surfaced as a faceplant off of my hand and into the piano then proceeding bodily to the floor before finally waking to the laughs of school age children.
Thank you and goodnight,
Nils, Klutz Extraordinaire

DID YOU LAUGH?!?  Chuckle??   grin?

I DID, and do every-time.  I'm dorky like that.  I'm also 24 now, I should probably talk about that soon... seeing as how Lasagna and Bumbershoot were involved.  Those are probably in the top 5 of top 10 best things ever.  Probably maybe.

Type type type...... I should go.... I'm bored.... and there is nothing to do..... shower?........ walk?........ eat?.............. dunno.

It's my birthday!

So!  Today, 24 years ago (give or take some hours) a new baby boy came screaming and slimy into this world... ME!  :D

I had to work this morning, at 7:45, which is gross but I'm not actually working because there's no one here.  Which is fine with me, yeeaahh.

And as we all do when these times roll around I've been taking stock of my life, reviewing things, remembering things and just generally considering "The meaning of it all".  And I've come to a conclusion;  I need to think less.

WHO CARES what's already happened!?  The past is past, we can learn from it but we can't live in it so let's all stop trying!  There are changes coming in my life, big ones, and they mean scary and unknown things.  But what they could lead to is SOO much better, how could I not take the risks?

So this is the deal.  Well, not a deal 'cause there's no alternative, but this is what is going to happen.  I am going to continue doing whatever I feel is best and necessary and you all are going to deal with it, and probably be my friend.  You won't be able to stop it, just let it happen. It won't be a bad thing, I'm a good person.  I'll even make you laugh every once in a while.

Bye now, I'm gong to go celebrate.  Don't know how yet, but it's gonna be fun.

:)

Why yesterday was better than today, even though today has barely started and I could win the lottery.

Because yesterday, I WENT SWIMMING.  I can not describe to you how much I adore the water... it's a lot.  Like, A LOT a lot.  I started swimming when I was less than a year old, my mom did the whole water baby thing with me and it worked pretty well.  I was in swim lessons until I was 12 or 13, then stopped because I was a chubby kid and really hated having my shirt off in public.  WORST MISTAKE EVER.  (Well, it's on my top 5)  Stopping swimming is one of those things that, were time travel an option, I would go back and punt myself while yelling, "GET OVER IT AND GET BACK IN THE WATER YOU PUTZ!  Also, be careful on the trampoline."

Anyway, yesterday I went swimming and played with squirt guns while it was 90 degrees outside.  TODAY I have to be to work in 30 minutes wearing long pants and a black shirt and making coffee for people while it is 95 degrees outside.  I promise that if anyone orders a hot drink past noon I will make it then throw it at them and yell, "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING IT'S 95 DEGREES OUTSIDE YOU IDIOT!  Also, IT WAS NON-FAT BECAUSE YOU ARE HUUUUGE!!!!!"

*sigh*  I really wish I could do that, stupid morals....

Off to work!  Wish me luck...

Repost from Myspace

Yes yes, it's a re-post. I understand that it's almost (IS) cheating and lazy. Well guess what, I'M TIRED AND IT'S MY BLOG SO WHATEVER!

I love how I assume that this is being read by a cantankerous and critical, yet lovable, 65 year old army vet. It tends to skew my dialogue.

RIGHT THEN, this is a repost from Myspace (myspace.com/penguinboxers add me I'll be your fake friend for months!) and it is still true. I'm thinking that because OBVIOUSLY this gets read by more people I'll get more response and maybe be able to come up with a pattern.

Or I'm tired and felt like posting but didn't want to actually write anything.

HERE IT IS!

--------------------------

I do not understand my subconscious. Most of the people who I talk to about dreams, like friends and stuff, are all, "I had this dream last night where I cleaned my kitchen, but everything was upside down. Crazy."

So then I'm like, "Wow, that is weird. I had a dream last night where I was in a State Park that was also a shooting range and there was a Poodle-Eating Puma terrorizing our campsite. The end of the dream was me tackling the the Puma as it tried to eat our friends second poodle, the first having been the first victim of it's spree."

Poodle-Eating Pumas. Really. And that's not the weirdest. I've been in royal funeral processions where I am the crowd, the deceased, and flag bearer for the procession separately and at the same time, art galleries run by children that I am baby-sitting, and most recently in post-apocalyptic worlds that turn out to be movies but I am both spectator and "actor" except it's not a movie really, it's real. And it sets it's self up for a sequel. Go me? If anyone has any insight into the whole "this means that in dreams" stuff let me know. I think it's ridiculous but maybe I can find a pattern. I like patterns.

TADA, I'm going to bed.

REVAMP!!!!!!

Hello all you party people... this is what's up.

I started this thing as a travel blog for our family's trip to Europe... in 2006. As you may have noticed, I posted once and then kinda just didn't anymore. We'll go with I was WAY to busy having fun seeing things. (Truth: I was stuck in a camper-van for 6 weeks with people who really should not travel together for more than one.)

Luckily for me, and to your dismay (you'll see) Blogger was kind enough to keep this around so that I could use to write about whatever the hell I want to. I'm so excited, aren't you? ;)

I WAS going to start this out with an amazing story about how my best friend/sister and I saved the world on Thursday, but she plagiarized me and posted already. So you should go read what is my story about the zombie uprising that she posted.

Oh fine, she wrote it. Can I help it if she's a better writer? Whatever, just go read it. It's right here. (http://influencebad.blogspot.com/2008/07/fort-worden-adventure.html)

Go, right now. No, I'll wait... really.

Thoughts of London

Wow, so I'm finally here. It took a 10th century castle for me to realize I was in a foreign country. If any of you have read William Gibson's Pattern Effect you'll understand when I say, my soul has caught up with me. Anyway, Today = Big Ben, London Tower, British Library (original Bach manuscripts anyone?) London Eye, Parliament and Camden Market. I love London. It took a while, but I would live here. I am defiantly coming back, what we did today about 10% of what London has. I'll post pictures later (King Henry was very, "gifted") In the morning we go the the Prince Albert/Victoria (?) museum and maybe Buckingham before picking up a car and touring the countryside. So, you'll here from me next when we get to Dublin.

TTFN,
Nils
